After several successfully accomplished projects in close collaboration between the Sino-German college of Applied Science and NxtAsia the next step was done in binding a strategic knot for the future. In an official ceremony Prof. Feng Xiao, Dean of the College, Mr. Robert Castello, Chairman of NxtAsia and Mr. Seoul Min, General Manager of Nxtasia formally announced the strategic alliance, which is based on the good partnership in the past. Both parties will strongly support the topic “Business & Science – hand in hand.” With the new partner NxtAsia has access to more than 1.500 professors at the Tongji University and profit from the newest research results. In addition the cooperation contract allows NxtAsia to assign special expertise in form of teaching staff for certain demands on commercial projects.
The Sino-German College of Applied Sciences is a joint educational program sponsored by the Chinese and German governments. Now the program is being carried on by Tongji and its German cooperative partners. The College aims to introduce the operating mode of Applied Sciences Universities in Germany and to turn out
international business professionals for both countries. The specialties taught in the College are mainly engineering related, but cross-discipline education is also heavily stressed, so the students will be also taught the basics of economics. The departments which have been set up first in the College include the Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, the Department of Automobile Service Engineering, the Department of Intelligent Technology of Architectural Facilities.
